Copyright Act ©Copyright is a form of property that can be licensed or transferred as an entire bundle (all of the distinct rights under copyright) or as a single, distinct right within the copyright bundle. It protects works like literary (such as written works, books), dramatic (such as scripts for films & dramas), musical (eg; melody of the music), artistic (eg; photographs and paintings), etc. It also gives the right to the author of a copyright work to reproduce, publish, perform, communicate and adapt his works.
Creative Commons Licenses
Flickr offers the users the ability to release their images under certain common usage licenses which include the Creative Commons 2.0 attribution-based and minor content-control licenses. Creative Commons License was release on December 16, 2002 by Creative Commons, which is a U.S non-profit corporation founded in 2001. Attribution-based license is that is allows licensees may copy, distribute, display and perform the work and make derivative works based on it only if they give the author or licensor the credits in the manner specified by these.
